I am just texting it but the article is being thought by and structured by a Small, Young, Crazy but Lazy and childish Baby from the roots of India, residing inside me. The baby may not have raised its voice for something or may not have made its country feel proud lately, but is surely very Patriotic, at heart inside the layer of its body fats. Because the baby never cribs about bad but surely makes it a point to celebrate the good state of its country.
As the baby said…
“Today at the eve of ‘Bharat Band on 31/05/2012’ I was very much thrilled and awestruck to see the sight of the street in the morning, where the Auto Rickshawala were standing in queue, but as usual did not agree to drop me to my destination and also the Taxiwala were stretching their legs out of the window and no one ready to meter-down, basically no traffic. All the retails were shut and more than 40 % of the nations public will have to compromise on their all-course meal because they purchase their grocery on daily basis just for the reason that they cant afford to store. What an awesome patronage we as a Nation are paying back to the Visionaries of our Nation.
We surely mean ‘Mera Bharat Mahan’.
Ours is the Nation Called Mera Bharat Mahaan..
With a huge amount of public with very less Gyaan..
Doing and praising the Political Dhyaan..
Not ready to Learn for the Revolutionary Sangraam..!!
We live in one perfect Democracy, where the Democracy is divided into ‘Sarkari’ and ‘Non-Sarkari’ and I was wrongly thought in school that Democracy meant a Government by the people of the people and for the people. A new definition we have given to democracy. Even Google has two different suggestions: “ What is Meant by Democracy and What is Meant by Democracy in India”.
I would like to correct and suggest the Elder Brother of Nation (as South Indians refer to), to cool its aggression. More than we say the Government at fault, there is a major problem and a reason to hurdle in the Nations progress and that is the Attitude of People of the Nation. We The People with either a thick skin or with barely any Knowledge.
Just looking into a small example of today. BHARAT BAND!! What good have we done with the call of Bharat band is a question to find answer for, but surely an government accounted figure of 6000 Cr is lost from earning, though many had a good relaxing time back at home.
The whole Band call is supposed to support the cause to ease the petrol prices. But in the due course we may not have realized that what losses we have incurred due to band.
It is very well known fact that India as a country on its commerce lines is a net importer of Crude for its domestic demands. The crude that is imported is not a daily purchase activity done by the purchase department of the oil companies. The Purchase manager in its air-conditioned cabin does not place a purchase order on Email or Telecon for a few million barrels of crude everyday. The crude is ordered and stocked on supply plan structured by the oil company at regular interval, taking into account the demand for the same. Now such a Band hampers the sales of this company. Basically there is very less sales or would say negligible sales but the stock is prepared for sales as regular. Now the low sale is not a major pain for the oil companies than the stock that has piled up, because this would have an allied heavy storage cost. Further this piled stock is no way going to get consumed after the band is called off because neither there is any increase in the size of the fuel tanks of vehicles nor additional industrial consumption will take place. To a broader view to it the imported crude will have to be paid for and as there was less sale the circular rolling of money will be hampered. Therefore, an extra cost is added to the payment of this imported crude, The Bank Interest Charges to the Oil Companies. This is a broader view and not an exact calculation though, but the point is made very clear, that the oil companies make a huge loss.
With everyone aware of the losses of the oil companies due to various reasons, some mentioned above as well as the increasing dollar prices and many more, have we ever thought how does this Loss get set-off? Government Subsidies!!! Where does this Government subsidy come from? Public Taxes!! So basically we have already paid for the cost. So knowingly or unknowingly we are paying a very high cost for the fuel we use and such Bands just add to the burden. So than I must say the 7.5 Rs hike is a smaller problem than this subsidy cost.
With this I don’t want to raise a call for another Band but just suggest that what we are looking to as solutions may not always be the right choice. Well this must be a Satyagrah, but may be we have chosen to do so in a wrong context. Gandhiji must surely be laughing his heart out for the mistaken implication of his teachings we have undertaken. So lets just Think Again, Decide and then act. Its Better Late Than Never !!”
